| Click on a photo to see it full size in a new browser window Ribblehead viaduct features as the Settle and Carlisle railway cuts across the landscape as it heads towards its tunnel under Blea Moor. The impressive structure is dwarfed by the majesty of the landscape.
These sheep found me more interesting than the view across the dales. Difficult to chose what to take photos of, the scenery is just so good.
Another from the same spot, ignoring the audience and zooming on the distant scenery.
Down in a valley we saw these horses not far from Appleby, home of a famous gypsy horse fair. Lovely scenery and some nice horses.
At Hawes in Wensleydale one of the features of the National Park visitor centre is this old steam engine, there is a long term project to reopen the railway right through the dale. Visit our Travel Centre for train, ferry and tunnel bookings.
