Two views of Bayeux, firstly looking up the main street and the second looking towards the bridge where the first was taken from.  If you continue up the main street on a Saturday you will come to the market seen below, which has a tremendous variety of fruit and vegetables, clothes, live poultry and rabbits, watches, wallets...  Well worth at visit.

Heading south from Caen you come to the region known as Suisse Normande, my favourite place in this area is by the Orne at Clécy.  This area is another that is well worth visiting, tranquil, lovely scenery; but you can be energetic and hire a pedalo to explore the river with.

Turning back to the coast there are many reminders of D Day to be seen, one of which is the remains of the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches, seen here from the cliffs above the beach.
